- Die International Association for Assyriology (IAA) ist eine gemeinnützige, unpolitische Organisation mit Sitz in Leiden, die im Juli 2003 gegründet wurde, um „die Bereiche Keilschriftstudien, altorientalische Geschichte und Archäologie auf internationaler Basis zu fördern und als Vertretungsorgan für diese Bereiche gegenüber nationalen, internationalen und privaten Institutionen sowie der Öffentlichkeit zu fungieren.“ Nach Angaben der Union of International Associations wurde diese Organisation im „Juli 2003, [in] London (UK), während des Internationalen Kongresses für Assyriologie und Vorderasiatische Archäologie (RAI)“ gegründet und „nach niederländischem Recht registriert.“ Das IAA veranstaltet jährlich einen Kongress, den Rencontre Assyriologique Internationale, der Wissenschaftler aus aller Welt an Zentren der Nahostforschung versammelt. Verbände und Gesellschaften sind angeschlossen wie die American Oriental Society, das British Institute for the Study of Iraq, die Deutsche Orient-Gesellschaft, die Israel Society for Assyriology and Ancient Near Eastern Studies und La Société pour l'étude du Proche-Orient ancien. - La Asociación Internacional de Asirología (en inglés: International Association for Assyriology, IAA) es una organización no partidaria y sin fines de lucro fundada en julio de 2003 con sede en Leiden, Países Bajos. Su objetivo es profundizar en el "estudio de la escritura cuneiforme, la historia del antiguo oriente próximo y la arqueología a nivel internacional, para actuar como un organismo representativo de estos campos en relación con instituciones nacionales, internacionales y privadas, así como con el público en general". Según la , esta organización fue fundada en "julio de 2003, Londres (Reino Unido), durante el Congreso Internacional de Asiriología y Arqueología del Cercano Oriente (RAI)" y "registrada de conformidad con la ley holandesa". La IAA realiza un congreso anual, el Encuentro Asiriológico Internacional, que reúne a académicos dedicados al estudio de Oriente Próximo de todas partes del mundo. - The International Association for Assyriology (IAA) is a non-profit, non-political organization founded in July 2003, and seated in Leiden that "the fields of Cuneiform Studies, ancient Near Eastern History and Archaeology on an international basis and to act as a representative body for these fields in relationship to national, international and private institutions, as well as the general public". According to the Union of International Associations, this organization was founded in "July 2003, London (UK), during International Congress of Assyriology and Near Eastern Archaeology (RAI)" and "registered in accordance with Dutch law." The IAA makes an annual congress, the that assembles scholars from all the world at centres of Near Eastern research.
