- The Cult Is Alive est le onzième album studio du groupe de Black metal norvégien Darkthrone. L'album est sorti le 27 février 2006 sous le label Peaceville Records. Cet album marque un grand changement dans le style du groupe, qui était déjà annoncé avec l'album précédent, Sardonic Wrath. Il disco è stato pubblicato anche come special edition contenente il video di Too Old, Too Cold e un poster, e come vinile grigio in edizione limitata. Nel gennaio 2007 la ha ripubblicato The Cult Is Alive in edizioni limitata digipack con l'aggiunta dell'EP Too Old Too Cold. (it)

- The Cult is Alive is het twaalfde album van de Noorse blackmetalband Darkthrone. Het album getuigt van een grotere koerswijziging in de stijl van de band sinds de eerste grote sprong van deathmetal naar black metal. In dit album is een grotere crust punk invloed te zien dan ooit tevoren. Hoewel de blackmetalroots in The Cult Is Alive nog duidelijk aanwezig zijn is de verschuiving weg van genres typische geluid prominenter in dit album dan de voorgaande. Fenriz' commentaar op de stijl van het album is: "Noem het black metal of 'evil rock', dat zielt me niet...". (nl)
