- Die Blauen und die Grauen ist eine US-amerikanische Fernsehserie mit Starbesetzung, die vor und während des Sezessionskriegs spielt und die Geschehnisse aus der Sicht des Kriegsberichterstatters John Geyser (gespielt von John Hammond) erzählt. Die Kurzserie wurde von Larry White und Lou Reda in Zusammenarbeit mit Columbia Pictures Television produziert und zwischen dem 14. und 17. November 1982 in drei Teilen mit einer Gesamtlaufzeit von 381 Minuten auf CBS ausgestrahlt; später wurden die Rechte an The Coca-Cola Company verkauft. In Deutschland erfolgte die Erstausstrahlung in 6 Teilen von Februar bis April 1985 im Ersten; sie wurde bislang nicht wiederholt. (de)

It was executive produced by Larry White and Lou Reda, in association with Columbia Pictures Television. A novel of the same name by John Leekley was published as a companion to the series in 1982, based on a story by John Leekley and Bruce Catton and the teleplay by Ian McLellan Hunter. The title refers to the colors of the uniforms worn by United States Army and Confederate States Army soldiers respectively. (en)
