- The Taiping Municipal Council (Malay: Majlis Perbandaran Taiping, abbreviated MPT) is the municipal council which administers Taiping in the state of Perak, Malaysia. This council was established after the township. Their jurisdiction covers an area of 186.46 square kilometres.
