- Das Eidgenössische Nuklearsicherheitsinspektorat (ENSI; französisch Inspection fédérale de la sécurité nucléaire, IFSN) ist die Aufsichtsbehörde der Schweiz für die nukleare Sicherheit und Sicherung der kerntechnischen Anlagen; es beaufsichtigt die Kernkraftwerke Beznau, Gösgen, Leibstadt und Mühleberg, die Forschungsreaktoren des Paul Scherrer Instituts und der ETH Lausanne sowie das schweizerische „Zwischenlager für radioaktive Abfälle“ Zwilag. Sitz des ENSI ist Brugg im Kanton Aargau.Der stillgelegte Forschungsreaktor der Universität Basel untersteht seit November 2021 nicht mehr der Aufsicht des ENSI. Das ENSI wiederum wird überwacht vom ENSI-Rat, einem vom Schweizer Bundesrat gewählten und ihm direkt unterstellten Gremium (5 bis 7 Mitglieder). (de)
- L’Inspection fédérale de la sécurité nucléaire (IFSN, appelé en allemand Eidgenössisches Nuklearsicherheitsinspektorat ENSI) est l'autorité de surveillance suisse pour la sécurité et la sûreté des installations nucléaires dans le pays. Son siège est à Brugg dans le canton d'Argovie. Elle emploie environ 170 personnes. Elle rend compte au Conseil fédéral mais doit mener sa surveillance indépendamment de considérations économiques ou politiques. Elle est chargée de la sécurité et la sûreté des cinq centrales nucléaires suisses (Beznau I et II, Gösgen, Leibstadt et Mühleberg) ainsi que des installations de recherche (Institut Paul Scherrer à Villigen, Université de Bâle et École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne). - The Swiss Federal Nuclear Safety Inspectorate (German: Eidgenössisches Nuklearsicherheitsinspektorat (ENSI)) is Switzerland's regulatory supervisory authority for nuclear safety and for the security of nuclear installations; it supervises the nuclear power plants at Beznau, Gösgen, Leibstadt and Mühleberg, the research reactors at the Paul Scherrer Institute, the University of Basel and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne), as well as the Swiss national central interim storage facility for radioactive waste (ZWILAG). ENSI's headquarters are located in Brugg in the Canton of Aargau. For its part, ENSI is supervised by the ENSI Board: this body is elected by the Swiss Federal Council, to which it reports directly. - Fino alla fine del 2008 la Divisione principale della sicurezza degli impianti nucleari (DSN) è stata l'autorità responsabile della vigilanza tecnica sugli impianti nucleari in Svizzera. Essi era incorporata nel Ufficio Federale dell'Energia (UFE). La DSN aveva sede a Würenlingen nel Canton Argovia.La DSN controllava la sicurezza delle cinque centrali nucleari e degli altri impianti nucleari in Svizzera. La DSN svolgeva al contempo la funzione di vigilanza sulla radioprotezione per tutti gli impianti nucleari, nonché compiti nel settore dello stoccaggio intermedio e finale delle scorie radioattive. Essa era controllata dalla Commissione federale per la sicurezza degli impianti nucleari (CSI) formata da esperti che esercitavano tale funzione a titolo accessorio.Dal 1º gennaio 2009 tali compiti sono stati assunti dall'Ispettorate Federale della Sicurezza Nucleare IFSN. In conformità alla delibera del parlamento, la DSN è stata separata dall'Ufficio federale dell'Energia e trasformata in un'autorità di vigilanza indipendente. In tal modo è soddisfatto il requisito della Convenzione internazionale sulla sicurezza nucleare relativa all'indipendenza dell'autorità di vigilanza. Questa Convenzione è una base importante per la sicurezza nucleare mondiale ed è stata creata nel 1994 all'Agenzia Internazionale per l'Energia Atomica AIEA.
