- تحت المزمار، أو المنطقة تحت المزمار (بالإنجليزية: subglottis)، هي الجزء السفلي من الحنجرة (بالإنجليزية: larynx)، وهي تمتد من أسفل الحبال الصوتية مباشرة نزولاً حتى أعلى القصبة الهوائية (بالإنجليزية: trachea). الأعضاء الموجودة في «منطقة تحت المزمار» تقوم بوظيفة تنظيم درجة حرارة التنفس. تضيّق "تحت المزمار" (بالإنجليزية: Subglottic stenosis) قد يتطلب إجراء عملية «ثقب القصبة الهوائية» للتصحيح. - The subglottis or subglottic region is the lower portion of the larynx, extending from just beneath the vocal cords down to the top of the trachea. The structures in the subglottis are implicated in the regulation of the temperature of the breath. Narrowing of the subglottis is known as subglottic stenosis and may require a tracheotomy to correct. (en)
