- El Centro de Resiliencia de Estocolmo (SRC por sus siglas en inglés), es un instituto de investigación, independiente y sin ánimo de lucro, especializado en desarrollo sostenible y asuntos medioambientales. El SRC trabaja en cambio climático, paisajes, recursos hídricos, usos del suelo, seguridad alimentaria, sistemas marinos y sistemas urbanos, con el objetivo de generar ideas para cambiar su gobernanza y gestión hacia la sostenibilidad. El instituto está particularmente centrado en la resiliencia e informa sobre las políticas de gestión de ecosistemas y de desarrollo sostenible a largo plazo en Europa y el resto del mundo. El SRC emplea a 143 personas y opera en la Universidad de Estocolmo, Suecia. It is a joint initiative between Stockholm University and the Beijer Institute of Ecological Economics at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. The centre states that its mission is to:
* advance the scientific understanding of the complex, dynamic interactions of people and nature in the Biosphere
* train the next generation of sustainability researchers and leaders
* engage in collaborations with change agents The SRC has a particular focus on social-ecological resilience, where humans and nature are studied as an integrated whole. The centre advises policymakers and industry on ecosystem management and long-term sustainable and equitable development in Europe and elsewhere around the world. (en)
