Seine Glanzzeit als kulturelles Zentrum erlebte die Abtei und ihr Skriptorium unter Äbtissin Kunigunde zu Beginn des 14. Jahrhunderts. - The Convent of Saint George (Czech: Klášter svatého Jiří) was a convent of Benedictine nuns located in Prague Castle in Bohemia (now the Czech Republic) between 973 and 1782. Founded in 973, the convent was next to the seat of ecclesiastical and state power in Bohemia and occasionally the entire Holy Roman Empire, and played an important historical role. Although no longer active, the convent's building and the attached Basilica dedicated to Saint George still exist. The building of the convent housed the Czech National Gallery's collection of 19th-century Bohemian art for a long time. Currently, it is empty and waits for a renovation. The Abbess of this convent had the unusual privilege of crowning the Queen consort of Bohemia, inherited in 1782 by the Princess-Abbess of the Theresian Institution of Noble Ladies. (en)

Il monastero venne fondato nel 973, accanto alla sede del potere ecclesiastico e temporale in Boemia e in alcuni periodi del Sacro Romano Impero. Le badesse di questo monastero ebbero l'inusuale privilegio di incoronare le Regine consorti di Boemia, che fu "ereditato" nel 1782 dalle Principesse-badesse (che furono sempre delle Arciduchesse d'Austria) del Capitolo Nobile delle Canonichesse di Praga istituito nel 1753 (effettivamente nel 1766) dall'Imperatrice Maria Teresa d'Asburgo-Lorena. Jiří) – klasztor założony przez księcia Bolesława II Pobożnego (a właściwie przez jego siostrę, Mladę, która została pierwszą przeoryszą klasztoru) w 973 na terenach przylegających do Zamku Królewskiego w Pradze. W 1782, za panowania króla Józefa II, został przekształcony na koszary. W latach 50. XX wieku klasztor odnowiono i przeznaczono na galerię sztuki. W początkowym okresie ekspozycja obejmowała zbiory średniowiecznej, przeniesione później do klasztoru św. Agnieszki. Aktualnie ekspozycja obejmuje głównie kolekcje sztuki manierystycznej i barokowej czeskiej Galerii Narodowej. (pl)
- Монастырь Святого Георгия (чеш. Klášter svatého Jiří) — бывший женский монастырь бенедиктинок на территории Пражского Града. Примерно в 920 году чешский князь Вратислав I основал базилику Святого Георгия — вторую церковь в этом месте. В 925 году, при князе Вацлаве Святом, церковь была освящена по случаю перенесения сюда из Тетина останков его бабушки святой Людмилы. В 973 году сестра князя Болеслава II предприняла дипломатическую поездку в Рим, где получила согласие папы на учреждение Пражского епископства и основание первого в Чехии женского бенедиктинского монастыря при базилике Святого Георгия. Вернувшись из Рима в 976 году Млада, принявшая имя Мария, стала первой аббатисой нового монастыря. Основателем же считался её брат князь Болеслав II Благочестивый. С 1200 года аббатисой была Агнесса Чешская (дочь короля Чехии Владислава II). (ru)
