- Soundwave és un festival de música que se celebra anualment en la majoria de ciutats d'Austràlia. El festival, com a origen de Perth, Western Australia va començar a girar per les diferents capitals de país a partir del 2007. Hi ha hagut un augment del nombre de grups musicals de l'escena internacional, de diferents gèneres però sobretot de metal, hardcore, punk rock, , pop punk i alternative rock. (ca)

- Le Soundwave, ou Soundwave Festival, est un festival organisé dans les plus grandes villes australiennes. Il émerge initialement à Perth et se délocalisera dans les plus grandes villes du pays en 2007. Durant son existence, il fait participer de nombreux groupes nationaux, du différents genres oscillant entre rock, heavy metal et punk. De nombreux groupes tels que Deftones, The Offspring, Incubus, Alice in Chains, Bloodhound Gang, Nine Inch Nails, Faith No More, Jimmy Eat World, Jane's Addiction, Soundgarden, Iron Maiden, Queens of the Stone Age, Smashing Pumpkins, System of a Down, Slipknot, Green Day, Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park, Blink 182 et Metallica y ont joué en têtes d'affiche. Le festival est dirigé et promu par Soundwave Touring, également dirigeant du Harvest Festival. Le 17 décembre 2015, le fondateur de Soundwave AJ Maddah, annonce l'annulation de l'édition 2016 du Soundwave à cause de mauvaises ventes de billet. Il décide de ne pas renouveler le festival. (fr)

The festival originated in Perth, Western Australia, and began travelling to the other Australian capital cities in 2007. It featured a number of international and Australian music acts from various genres, including rock, metal and punk. The festival has been headlined by Deftones, the Offspring, Incubus, Alice in Chains, Bloodhound Gang, Nine Inch Nails, Faith No More, Jimmy Eat World, Jane's Addiction, Soundgarden, Iron Maiden, Queens of the Stone Age, the Smashing Pumpkins, System of a Down, Slipknot, Green Day, Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park, Blink-182 and Metallica. Soundwave Festival occurred annually until 2015. A 2016 iteration of the festival was planned, but its cancellation was announced on 17 December 2015 by founder AJ Maddah due to poor ticket sales.
