- Silicon Saxony (engl. „Silizium-Sachsen“) ist ein eingetragener Verein mit Sitz in Dresden. Er versteht sich als Netzwerk bzw. Branchenverband der sächsischen Mikroelektronik-, Halbleiter-, Photovoltaik- und Softwarebranche, die insbesondere im Raum Dresden/Freiberg/Chemnitz angesiedelt ist. Mit 390 Mitgliedsfirmen, in denen etwa 50.000 Menschen beschäftigt sind, bezeichnet sich der Verein selbst als das größte Hightechnetzwerk Sachsens und eines der größten Mikroelektronik- und IT-Cluster Deutschlands sowie Europas. Mitglieder des Vereins sind nicht nur Unternehmen, sondern auch Forschungsinstitute, Universitäten und Hochschulen. (de)
- Silicon Saxony (traducción aproximada al castellano: “Sajonia del silicio”; juego de palabras que hace referencia a Silicon Valley) es una asociación con sede en Dresde, Alemania. Aglutina a un conjunto de empresas activas en el ámbito de la microelectrónica y los semiconductores instaladas en las regiones de Dresde y Freiberg (Sajonia). Con 250 empresas afiliadas para las que trabajan unos 25.000 empleados, se trata de la asociación industrial relacionada con la microelectrónica más importante de Alemania. Además de empresas privadas, también se cuentan entre sus miembros representantes de la política y la ciencia. Silicon Saxony persigue como objetivo promocionar la competitividad de la región y dotar a esta de renombre internacional. (es)
