- Pečeť Utahu, jednoho z federálních států USA, je tvořena bílým štítem, nad nímž je zobrazen rozkřídlený americký orel (heraldicky orlice). Ve středu štítu je včelí úl, po stranách obrůstaný pěknosemencem Sego (Colochortus nuttalli). Horní částí štítu prochází (modrým oválem) šest (3 + 3) zkřížených šípů. Nad úlem je modrý nápis INDUSTRY (česky průmysl, píle), což je utažské motto. Pod úlem je pak modrý nápis UTAH a pod ním menším písmem letopočet 1847. Štít je položen na dvě zkřížené americké vlajky na žerdích, splývající podél štítu. Výjev přechází, ve směru od středu ven, do modrého mezikruží s bílým nápisem THE GREAT SEAL OF THE STATE OF UTAH (česky Velká pečeť státu Utah) a v dolní části s letopočtem 1896. Mezikruží je ohraničeno zlatou točenicí. Střed pečetě je začleněn do utažské vlajky. Existuje rovněž upravená pečeť pro utažského guvernéra (současným guvernérem je od roku 2009 Gary Herbert, a ve spodní části je jeho pořadové číslo XVII).

The great seal is described in Utah Code Annotated, 1953, Volume 7a, section 67-2-9 as follows: "The Great Seal of the State of Utah shall be two and one-half inches in diameter, and of the following device; the center a shield and perched thereon an American Eagle with outstretching wings; the top of the shield pierced by six arrows crosswise; under the arrows the motto "INDUSTRY"; beneath the motto a beehive, on either side growing sego lilies; below the figures "1847"; on each side of the shield an American Flag.; encircling all, near the outer edge of the seal, beginning at the lower left-hand portion, the words, "THE GREAT SEAL OF THE STATE OF UTAH", with the figures "1896" at the base." - Het huidige zegel van Utah is in gebruik sinds 3 april 1896. Het is een aangepaste versie van het zegel dat in 1851 in gebruik werd genomen; de aanpassingen werden gedaan omdat Utah een staat was geworden. Het zegel toont een bijenkorf die, net als het motto Industry ("Industrie"), vooruitgang symboliseert. In het op het zegel vermelde jaar 1847 leidde Brigham Young de eerste Mormonen naar Utah. Het andere jaartal op het zegel is 1896, waarin Utah zoals vermeld een staat van de Verenigde Staten werd. De Amerikaanse zeearend boven in het zegel en de Amerikaanse vlaggen symboliseren de bescherming die de Verenigde Staten aan Utah bieden en de loyaliteit die Utah heeft ten aanzien van de Verenigde Staten.
