- The Sarah Booth Conroy Prize has been awarded annually since 2016 for "reportorial or critical excellence in fostering a better public understanding of architecture and urbanism in Washington, DC." Named after , the prize recognizes professional journalists and architecture critics covering the greater Washington, DC region. Sarah Booth Conroy (1928 - 2009) wrote architecture criticism for the Washington Post for more than 30 years. She was the inaugural recipient of the Washington Architectural Foundation's Glenn Brown Award, which recognizes "an individual who has improved the quality of life in DC and raised awareness of architecture and its benefits to society." Conroy wrote more than 2,800 articles for the Washington Post, focusing on the history of Washington, DC with a column called "Chronicles." (en)
