- Die Rugby-Bundesliga ist die höchste Spielklasse im deutschen Rugby-Union-Sport. Sie wurde am 18. September 1971 unter der Federführung des Deutschen Rugby-Verbands eingeführt. Die Liga wird vorwiegend von Amateuren betrieben. Einige Teams spielen jedoch in einem professionellen Rahmen. Die 1. Bundesliga teilt sich in zwei Staffeln (Nord/Ost und Süd/West) mit insgesamt 16 Teams. Direkt unterhalb der 1. Bundesliga befindet sich die 2. - The Rugby-Bundesliga is the highest level of the league system for rugby union in Germany, organised by the German Rugby Federation. The league is predominantly amateur, with only one club in the league being officially a professional outfit, the Heidelberger RK. From 2012 to 2015 the Bundesliga was expanded from ten to 24 and the league divided into four regional divisions of six teams each. Below the Bundesliga the 2. Bundesliga was organised in a similar fashion. From 2015 onwards the league returned to sixteen clubs. (en)

Bundesliga est une compétition annuelle mettant aux prises les meilleurs clubs professionnels de rugby à XV en Allemagne.Le titre est attribué à l'issue d'une saison régulière disputée par huit équipes en matchs aller-retour. La première Rugby-Bundesliga a été disputée en deux poules lors de la saison 1971-72, l'une des huit équipes du Nord du pays et l'autre de huit clubs du Sud. - La Bundesliga (in tedesco Lega federale) o Rugby-Bundesliga è il massimo campionato nazionale tedesco di rugby a 15. Istituito nel 1971 dalla Deutscher Rugby-Verband, la federazione rugbistica nazionale, sostituisce da tale data il Deutsche Meisterschaft, competizione che attraverso un complesso sistema di leghe regionali e incontri di finale tra i vari vincitori assegnava il titolo di campione tedesco. Si basa su un sistema a due gironi con play-off e finale per il titolo.La squadra maggiormente vittoriosa a tutta la stagione 2015-16 è l'Heidelberg RK, che si è aggiudicata 9 edizioni di torneo (in aggiunta ai 3 titoli di campione prima del 1971).Campione uscente alla stagione 2016-17 è il Pforzheim, vincitore del suo primo titolo nel 2016.
