Richard Harold Steinberg (born July 15, 1960), is the Jonathan D. Varat Endowed Chair in Law Professor of Law at the UCLA School of Law, Professor of Political Science, Director of the , and Editor-in-Chief of the Human Rights and International Criminal Law Online Forum (a cooperative undertaking with the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court). He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and the editorial boards of the American Journal of International Law and International Organization. He was formerly Assistant General Counsel to the United States Trade Representative under Josh Bolten in the first Bush Administration.
