- Bei der Reperkussion (lateinisch Wiederstoßen) handelt es sich um eine spezielle Gesangstechnik beim Singen eines Tones mit konstanter Tonhöhe. Die Technik wurde und wird besonders im Gregorianischen Choral angewendet, wenn Tonwiederholungen durch bestimmte Neumen, wie zum Beispiel durch eine oder eine vorgeschrieben sind. Der Gesang wird in der Lautstärke moduliert, ohne dass es dabei notwendigerweise zu einer Tonhöhenschwankung, also einem Vibrato kommt. Wenn der Gesang nicht solistisch vorgetragen wird, modulieren die Sänger entsprechend dem Dirigieren des Kantors ihre Stimmen im Gleichtakt. Das einwandfreie Singen von Reperkussionen erfordert gesangstechnische Übung und eine entsprechende Atemstütze. Ein ähnlich lautender Begriff, der jedoch etwas anderes bedeutet, ist das Wort „Repercussa“. Dies ist eine andere Bezeichnung für den Rezitationston, einen wichtigen Strukturton innerhalb der Kirchentonarten. (de)

Esta técnica fue y es especialmente utilizada en el Canto gregoriano cuando la repetición del sonido es prescrita por ciertos neumas, como la distrofa y la tristrofa. Las vocales se modulan en volumen, sin que necesariamente resulte en una fluctuación de tono, trémolo o vibrato. Si el canto no lo ejecuta un solista, los cantantes modulan sus voces al unísono siguiendo las indicaciones del kantor. El canto correcto de la repercusión requiere entrenamiento vocal y unos recursos respiratorios adecuados. Un término similar, que no debe confundirse porque tiene un significado diferente, es el de "repercussa". Que es un nombre alternativo para la dominante en los modos de canto eclesiástico, mientras se denomina "finalis" a la tónica. (es)
