Zahrnuje pouze 3 druhy, které jsou všechny evropské endemity a třetihorní relikty. se vyskytuje v Pyrenejích a přilehlých horách, zbývající 2 druhy rostou na Balkáně. Ramondy jsou pomalu rostoucí, vytrvalé byliny se svraskalými chlupatými listy v přízemní růžici a s nápadnými fialovými květy.Pěstují se jako skalničky. (cs)

Sie besteht aus nur drei Arten, die endemisch in Spanien bzw. auf dem Balkan sind. Die Vorkommen in Europa sind Relikte aus dem Tertiär; fast alle anderen Arten der Familie sind tropisch. Eine Besonderheit der Felsenteller ist die für Höhere Pflanzen seltene Fähigkeit der Poikilohydrie. Die Pflanzen können dadurch komplett austrocknen, ohne abzusterben. (de)
