- Der Raging River ist ein bescheidener Nebenfluss des viel größeren Snoqualmie River im westlichen US-Bundesstaat Washington. Er liegt in den westlichen Ausläufern der Kaskadenkette im östlichen zentralen King County. Den Namen bezieht er aus der zeitweise großen Menge Wassers, die er führt. Die Rekord-Abflussmenge beträgt 110 m³/s. Der Raging River ist ein Salmonidengewässer und führt ein Fünftel der Königslachs-Wanderung des Snoqualmie River. Der Fluss entspringt in dem von der Rattlesnake Ridge geformten Tal östlich des Taylor Mountain; er fließt zunächst westwärts in den Raging River State Forest, der vom Washington Department of Natural Resources verwaltet wird. Er fließt dann nach Nordwesten und quert die Washington State Route 18, danach setzt er seinen Lauf nach Norden fort und passiert den , kreuzt die Interstate 90 nahe Preston und mündet bei Fall City in den Snoqualmie River. Das Einzugsgebiet des Raging River ist Teil des größeren Einzugsgebietes des Puget Sound. Der durchschnittliche jährliche Abfluss des Raging River beträgt 4,2 m³/s, das Einzugsgebiet ist 82,9 km² groß. - The Raging River is a tributary of the Snoqualmie River in western Washington state in the United States. It is located in the western foothills of the Cascade Mountains in east central King County, Washington. It gets its name from the large amount of water it sometimes carries. The record discharge at the gaging station is over 4,000 cubic feet (110 m3) per second. The Raging is a salmon-bearing river and supports one-fifth of the Snoqualmie River's chinook runs. The river begins in the valley formed by Rattlesnake Ridge to the east and Taylor Mountain to the west in the , managed by the Washington Department of Natural Resources. It flows northwest, crossing State Route 18, and then continues north past Tiger Mountain, crossing Interstate 90 near Preston, Washington, and joining the Snoqualmie River near Fall City, Washington. The Raging River watershed is part of the larger Puget Sound drainage basin. The average annual flow in the river is 149 cubic feet (4.2 m3) per second and the drainage area is 32 square miles. (en)
