- The Qatar Athletics Federation is the governing body for the sport of athletics in Qatar. It is a member of the Arab Athletics Federation, Asian Athletics Association and World Athletics. The president of the body is Dr. Thani bin Abdulrahman Al Kuwari. The Federation is currently based at the Al Hodaifi Tower in Doha, the same location as the Qatar Olympic Committee. (en)

Très active, elle se développe grâce aux pétro-dollars et à l'organisation de compétitions internationales de haut niveau, sans compter une politique de naturalisations massive et le développement de centres techniques de qualité comme l'Aspire Zone. Elle est notamment candidate à l'organisation des Championnats du monde d'athlétisme 2019 à Doha. Son président était qui est remplacé par Dahlan al-Hamad. (fr)
