- Procedural records are the set of constituent parts of a judicial process or , such as the petitions, terms of hearing, certificates, among others. Traditionally, they have always been in physical format, but with the advent of the electronic process, they have gradually been replaced by records in electronic format. The physical records are made up of a jumble of papers, which are held together by staples, plastic tracks, or brackets ("ballerinas" for holding paper), and which usually have a cover. In these volumes of papers, the acts of each process are recorded. The records are worked on by civil servants, usually from the judiciary, but also from other branches of government, in the case of administrative proceedings. The parties, or their lawyers, have access to view them, and sometimes, the latter can remove them from the custody of the state for a certain period of time, committing to return them intact. Every procedural act, even in physical processes, is usually registered in an electronic system, for better monitoring. Eventually, if the physical records are lost, they can be reconstituted by means of copies of the fundamental documents. In the electronic process, the records are entirely in electronic format. The beginning of computerization of processes took place in Germany in 1966, when the Federal Commission for the Computerization and Rationalization of Justice was created. Other countries, such as Italy, the United States and Portugal, have also started to adopt the computerization of notary services. With the popularization of the Internet, in the late 1990s and early 2000s, experiences of implementing fully digital autos were made possible. In Brazil, it has been observed that the implementation of fully electronic proceedings has contributed to the reduction of the time it takes to process cases. In Brazil, in November 2020, electronic records of the Superior Court of Justice were attacked and encrypted by hackers, in what is considered the largest hacker attack in the country's history. (en)
- Autos processuais são o conjunto das peças constitutivas de um processo judicial ou administrativo, tais como as petições, termos de audiências, certidões, entre outros. Tradicionalmente sempre foram em formato físico, mas com o advento do processo eletrônico, estes vem sendo gradualmente substituídos pelos autos em formato eletrônico. Os autos físicos são formados por um calhamaço de papeis, presos entre si por grampos trilhos plásticos ou colchetes ("bailarinas" de prender papel), e que geralmente possuem uma capa. Nestes volumes de papeis, são registrados os atos de cada processo. Os autos são trabalhados por funcionários públicos, geralmente do poder judiciário, mas também de outros poderes, no caso dos processos administrativos. As partes, ou seus advogados, tem acesso à sua visualização, e por vezes, estes últimos podem retirá-los da guarda estatal por um prazo determinado, comprometendo-se a devolvê-los íntegros. Cada ato processual, mesmo nos processos físicos, costuma ser registrado num sistema eletrônico, para melhor acompanhamento. Eventualmente, em caso de extravio dos autos físicos, estes podem ser reconstituídos através de cópias das peças fundamentais. Já no processo eletrônico, os autos tramitam inteiramente em formato eletrônico. O início da informatização dos processos se deu na Alemanha em 1966, quando foi criada a Comissão Federal para Informatização e Racionalização da Justiça. Outros países, como Itália, Estados Unidos e Portugal, passaram também a adotar a informatização dos serviços notariais. Com a popularização da internet, no final da década de 1990 e início da década de 2000, foram possibilitadas experiências de implantação autos inteiramente digitais. No Brasil, tem-se observado que a implementação de autos processuais inteiramente eletrônicos tem contribuído para a diminuição do tempo de tramitação dos processos. No Brasil, em novembro de 2020, autos eletrônicos do Superior Tribunal de Justiça foram atacados e criptografados por hackers, naquele considerado o maior ataque hacker da história do país. (pt)
