- Die Premier Academy League (früher: FA Premier Academy League) ist in England die höchste Spielklasse für Akademieteams (Jugendteams) der Profivereine aus den obersten englischen Fußballligen. Die Liga entstand 1997 und löste die „South East Counties League“ ab, die vorher als höchste Spielklasse für die Akademiemannschaften diente.In der Premier Academy League gibt es keinen sportlichen Abstieg. Bis zur Saison 2012/13 nahmen 40 Vereine teil, die in vier Gruppen zu je zehn Mannschaften gestaffelt wurden. Die Sieger aus den Gruppen zogen ins Halbfinale ein und spielten im System Sieger Gruppe A gegen Sieger Gruppe C und Sieger Gruppe B gegen Sieger Gruppe D. Die Sieger aus den beiden Partien spielten im Finale gegeneinander. Seit der Saison 2013/14 es gibt nur noch eine Nord- bzw. Südstaffel mit jeweils zwölf Mannschaften. Die beiden Erst- und Zweitplatzierten spielen dann in der Endrunde gegeneinander. In der ersten Austragung nahmen nur U-18-Teams teil, zwischen 1998 und 2004 gab es jeweils einen Wettbewerb für U-17 und U-19 und seit der Saison 2004/05 wird die Premier Academy League nur noch in der U-18-Spielklasse ausgetragen. - The Premier Academy League (sometimes abbreviated as FAPAL) was the top level of youth football in England before it was to be replaced by a new league proposed by the Elite Player Performance Plan in 2012, which was accepted by the 72 member clubs of The Football League on 20 October 2011. This newly formed league was established in the 2015–2016 season and given the renamed title of the Professional Development League It was contested between the Academy sides of the Premier League and some Football League clubs. It sat above the second tier of youth football, The Football League Youth Alliance, which is for the remaining Football League clubs and some Football Conference clubs with a Centre of Excellence. - Liga Utama Akademi (bahasa Inggris: Premier Academy League), kadang-kadang disingkat FAPAL) adalah tingkat teratas sepak bola pemuda di Inggris sebelum ia digantikan oleh liga baru yang diusulkan oleh pada tahun 2012, yang diterima oleh 72 klub anggota The Football League pada tanggal 20 Oktober 2011. Liga ini diikuti oleh tim akademi dari klub Liga Primer dan beberapa klub Football League, termasuk termasuk tim akademi dari klub Wales, Cardiff City.
