- Die Ponte di Tre Archi ist eine Brücke in Venedig, die im Sestiere Cannaregio liegt, den Cannaregiokanal überspannt und das Fondamenta Cannaregio mit dem Fondamenta S. Giobbe verbindet. Sie wurde 1688 vom Architekten Andrea Tirali anstelle einer 1503 errichteten Steinbrücke errichtet, die ihrerseits wieder eine dreibogige Holzbrücke ersetzte. Im 16. Jahrhundert waren die Steinbrücken Venedigs überwiegend einbogig, dreibogige Brücken gab es nur aus Holz, wie die Ponte delle Guglie, die Ponte Longo alla Giudecca, dien Ponte di San Pietro und die Rialtobrücke. Lediglich die Ponte di San Lorenzo war aus Stein und hatte drei Bogen. Neben der Brücke liegt die nach ihr benannte Haltestelle Tre Archi die von Motoscafi bedient werden. - The Ponte dei Tre Archi (Italian for "Three Arches' Bridge") is one of the main bridges of Venice, Italy, along with the Ponte delle Guglie, the other bridge spanning the Cannaregio Canal, and the four bridges spanning the Canal Grande: Rialto, Scalzi, Accademia, and the Costituzione. It is located in Cannaregio district (sestiere), just South of Rio San Giobbe, linking the fondamenta San Giobbe, and the South-West area of Cannaregio, to the fondamenta di Sacca San Girolamo and the North-East of Cannaregio. As all other Venetian bridges, the Ponte dei Tre Archi is a pedestrian walkway. The Baroque style bridge was designed in 1681 by Andrea Tirali, and is the sole three-arched bridge left in Venice. North of the bridge, towards the lagoon, is the former church of Santa Maria delle Penitenti and on the south is San Giobbe church located on its namesake square (campo). (en)

Sempre in epoca passata il ponte, come tutti i ponti veneziani, era privo delle spallette di protezione e dotato di gradini molto più lunghi e più bassi, caratteristiche queste che gli conferivano una particolare eleganza come documentato dalle stampe del periodo.
