- Plagues of Babylon είναι ο τίτλος του ενδέκατου άλμπουμ του αμερικανικού heavy metal συγκροτήματος Iced Earth, το οποίο κυκλοφόρησε τον Ιανουάριο του 2014 μέσω της δισκογραφικής εταιρείας "Century Media". Η κυκλοφορία του άλμπουμ πραγματοποιήθηκε με τρεις μήνες καθυστέρηση, λόγω προγραμματισμένων περιοδειών του συγκροτήματος. Η ηχογράφηση του έλαβε χώρα στα "Principal Studios" του Σέντεν της Γερμανίας, από τις 15 Ιουλίου ως τις 8 Αυγούστου 2013. Η ανακοίνωση για τους τίτλους των τραγουδιών και το εξώφυλλο του δίσκου έγινε στις 25 Σεπτεμβρίου του ίδιου έτους. Ο δίσκος σκαρφάλωσε στο Top-50 του Billboard στην πατρίδα των Iced Earth, όντας ο πρώτος δίσκος του συγκροτήματος που κατάφερε κάτι τέτοιο. Επίσης, σκαρφάλωσε στην πέμπτη θέση των γερμανικών τσαρτ και το Top-30 στην Αυστρία και την Ελβετία. También se destaca la partida del batería , que dejó la banda por motivos personales. Fue grabado durante el 2013 en Senden, Alemania, en los estudios «Principal Studios» y mezclado en «NHow Studios» en Berlín, Alemania y publicado en enero del 2014 por Century Media. El disco es una continuación de la saga , y cuenta con colaboraciones de varios artistas, entre ellos Hansi Kürsch de Blind Guardian, Michael Poulsen de Volbeat y de Symphony X y . Entre otras características, también posee una versión de una canción de Sons of Liberty, otra banda de Jon Schaffer. El disco fue precedido del lanzamiento del demo en vinilo titulado el cual tiene tres canciones de este mismo disco y el arte de tapa fue diseñado por Eliran Kantor. (es)
