- Filotes (en llatí Philotas, en grec antic Φιλώτας) fou un militar selèucida al servei d'Antíoc III el Gran. Va dirigir la guarnició selèucida a Abidos, durant la guerra contra Roma. La flota romana dirigida per Gai Livi Salinàtor el va assetjar l'any 190 aC i quan estava a punt de rendir-se van arribar notícies de la derrota de la flota ròdia (aliada dels romans) sota Pamfilides, i Gai Livi es va retirar per poder oposar-se a Polixènides. C. fue asediado por la flota romana de Gayo Livio Salinator, ante la que estaba a punto de capitular, pero antes de que aceptara los términos de la rendición, las noticias de la derrota de la flota rodia de hizo que Livio se retirara a toda prisa para oponerse al almirante seléucida Polixénidas de Rodas. He was besieged by the Roman fleet under Gaius Livius Salinator (190 BC) and was desirous to capitulate, but before the terms could be agreed upon, the news of the defeat of the Rhodian fleet under caused Livius to withdraw in all haste in order to oppose the Antiochid admiral Polyxenidas of Rhodes.
