- Philippe Richert (Ingwiller, 1953) és un polític francès. Fou professor de ciències naturals al col·legi de La Wantzenau. Posteriorment ha estat senador pel Baix Rin de 1992 a 2005 pel Centre dels Demòcrates Socials questor del Senat de França i vicepresident del (CNA). De 1998 a 2008 fou president del Consell General del Baix Rin per la Unió pel Moviment Popular i candidat a l'alcaldia d'Estrasburg el 1995 però no fou escollit. També ha estat membre del Consell Regional d'Alsàcia de 1985 a 1992, regidor d'Estrasburg el 1995-1998 i vicepresident del Senat el 2004-2008.Fou president del Consell Regional d'Alsàcia de 2010 a 2015 i del Conseil Regional del Gran Est de 2016 a 2017. - Philippe Richert (* 22. Mai 1953 in Ingwiller, Département Bas-Rhin) ist ein französischer Politiker der Partei Les Républicains. Seit dem 26. Mai 2010 war er Präsident des Regionalrats der Region Elsass. Seit der Neugestaltung der Regionen zum 1. Januar 2016 führte er dieses Amt in der Region Grand Est bis zum 30. September 2017 weiter. Danach zog er sich aus der Politik zurück. Richert ist Sohn einer Arbeiterfamilie aus dem kleinen Dorf Wimmenau in den Vogesen. Nach seinem Studium an der Université Strasbourg I Louis Pasteur unterrichtete er ab 1974 als Lehrer an einem collège Naturwissenschaften (sciences de la vie et de la terre) und wurde schließlich stellvertretender Schulleiter des collège in La Wantzenau. Politisch aktiv ist Richert seit 1982, als er für die lokale Bewegung Initiatives alsaciennes zum ersten Mal in den Generalrat (conseil général) des Départements Bas-Rhin gewählt wurde. 1985 wurde er Mitglied der Partei Union pour la démocratie française und Mitglied im Regionalrat des Elsass (Conseil régional de l'Alsace). 1998 bis 2008 war er Präsident des Generalrats für Bas-Rhin. 1992–2004 und 2005–2010 vertrat er das Département Bas-Rhin im französischen Senat. 2002 trat er wie viele andere Mitglieder der UDF zur neugegründeten UMP über, die 2015 ihren Namen zu Les Républicains änderte.Von November 2010 bis Mai 2012 war er in der Regierung von François Fillon beigeordneter Minister für die Gebietskörperschaften (ministre chargé des collectivités territoriales). Richerts Hauptaugenmerk in der Politik liegt beim Umweltschutz, außerdem setzt er sich stark für den Erhalt des kulturellen Erbes ein. (de)

- Philippe Richert (born 22 May 1953) is a French politician of The Republicans party (known as the Union for a Popular Movement until 2015), president of the regional council of Grand Est from 2016 to 2017. He previously was the president of the regional council of Alsace, until its dissolution on 1 January 2016. From 1992 to 2010, Richert was a member of the Senate of France, representing the Bas-Rhin department, and was nominated as the responsible for the relations between the French Senate and the Israeli Knesset. He was Minister for Local authorities under the Minister of Interior, Overseas, Local authorities and Immigration from 14 November 2010 to 10 May 2012. He began his political career as a member of the Bas-Rhin Departmental Council, representing the La Petite Pierre canton. Mr. Richert is also the president of the Lalique Museum in Wingen-sur-Moder.
