- Pastorální teologie (nebo také praktická teologie) je obor teologie, který se zabývá různými aspekty pastoračního působení církve. Pojem „pastorální teologie“ poprvé použil Petr Canisius v 16. století, jako samostatná teologická disciplína vznikla až v 18. století. Jedná se o teologickou reflexi o celku těch aktivit, které se dějí v církvi a církev se skrze ně uskutečňuje. »Jako vědecká disciplína se zabývá „aktuálním stáváním církve v dějinách“, „zdravou činností církve, chápané v její současnosti jako lidská činnosti, která se v církvi odehrává“ (Karl Rahner), „dialogickým vztahem mezi tím, co je náboženská praxe a mezi tím, co by měla být“ (Van der Ven) Úkolem pastorální teologie jako vědy je popsat situace a jejich možnou proměnu, aktuální praxi víry, křesťanství a církve, definovat zákony a modely změn.« (cs)
- Pastoraltheologie ist eine Spezialdisziplin im Fächerkanon der christlichen Theologie. Ihre genaue Abgrenzung ist konfessionell unterschiedlich. In der Katholischen Theologie wurde der Begriff im 18. Jahrhundert durch Franz Stephan Rautenstrauch geprägt und bis ins 20. Jahrhundert meist als deckungsgleich mit der gesamten Praktischen Theologie verstanden; erst in jüngerer Zeit setzte sich auch hier die Bezeichnung Praktische Theologie durch. In der Evangelischen Theologie versteht man darunter seit Friedrich Schleiermacher einen Teilbereich der Praktischen Theologie, nämlich die Lehre von Wesen, Amt, Beruf und Rolle des Pfarrers. (de)
- La teología pastoral es la reflexión sobre la acción eclesial, como puerta de entrada a la comunicación (predicación y enseñanzas de sana doctrina) y en la vida cotidiana (mandamientos, ética cristiana y todas las actividades pastorales) de las verdades acumuladas en el estudio de las Sagradas Escrituras y de la teología sistemática y dogmática. En la invitación de Cristo (Jn 21, 15-19) la Iglesia como comunión fraternal (pueblo de Dios) y jerárquica cuida de sus miembros. Ella es el cuerpo de Cristo. Como pastor (Cristo con San Pedro : "apacienta a mis ovejas") refleja la manera de despertar a la experiencia de Dios y de vivir en lo cotidiano la unión a Cristo y las verdades de la fe. - Pastoral theology is the branch of practical theology concerned with the application of the study of religion in the context of regular church ministry. This approach to theology seeks to give practical expression to theology. Normally viewed as an 'equipping' of ministers, practical theology is often considered to be more pragmatic than speculative, indeed, essentially a practical science. Hence its main interests are in those areas of theology which will aid clergy in ministry. Topics tend to include homiletics, pastoral care, sacramental theology, and ethics. All branches of theology, whether theoretical or practical, purpose in one way or another to make priests, pastors, and others in a pastoral role "the ministers of Christ, and the dispensers of the mysteries of God" (1 Corinthians 4:1). Pastoral theology presupposes other various branches, accepts the apologetic, dogmatic, exegetic, moral, juridical, ascetical, liturgical, and other conclusions reached by the ecclesiastical student, and scientifically applies these various conclusions to the priestly ministry. - Teologi Pastoral adalah sebuah cabang ilmu teologis yang berfokus pada perspektif penggembalaan pada semua kegiatan dan fungsi Gereja dan pendeta, kemudian menarik kesimpulan teologis dari pengamatan yang dilakukan. Sejak zaman Reformasi Protestan, istilah "Pastoral" dipakai dalam dua pengertian. Pertama, "Pastoral" sebagai kata sifat dari "Pastor". Karena Pastor melaksanakan penggembalaan, maka istilah Pastoral dalam konteks ini berarti sama dengan penggembalaan itu sendiri. - La théologie pastorale est la réflexion sur l’action ecclésiale, en tant que passage à la communication (prédication et catéchèse) et à la vie quotidienne (sacrements, et toutes activités pastorales) des vérités saisies dans l’étude des Saintes Écritures et de la théologie systématique et dogmatique. À l’invitation du Christ (Jn 21,15-19) l’Église comme communion fraternelle (peuple de Dieu) et hiérarchique prend soin de ses membres. Elle est mère et pasteur. Comme pasteur (Le Christ à saint Pierre : « pais mes brebis »), elle réfléchit à la manière d’éveiller à l’expérience de Dieu et de vivre dans le quotidien l’union au Christ et les vérités de la foi. - 牧会学(ぼっかいがく、英: Theology of pastoral care、独: Die Lehre von der Seelsorge, Poimenik)は主にプロテスタント教会の牧会を扱う実践神学の一部門である。 神学校では、の運営、各団体の指導、信徒・の個別指導、冠婚葬祭などの配慮や、牧会心理学、牧会カウンセリングの教育などが含まれる。 牧会学は実践神学部門の中では、一番歴史が古く4世紀のクリュソストモスにさかのぼるといわれる。19世紀以降に牧会学は学問として形成されてきた。 加藤常昭によると明治時代以降の日本のプロテスタントの牧会学の教育の内容は、宮川経輝や多田素の『牧会百話』のように、先輩牧師の牧会体験の継承が中心であった。さらに、アメリカの宣教師や留学者によるアメリカ的、なども移入されているが、学問としては育たなかったとしている。 (ja)

Vid svenska universitet hör de hemma inom praktisk teologi eller kyrkovetenskap och ur vissa historiska aspekter inom pastoralhistoria, som ett forskningsfält inom kyrkohistoria. (sv)
