- Parosphromenus harveyi je sladkovodní paprskoploutvá ryba z čeledi guramovití (Osphromenidae) popsaná roku 1987. Pochází z černých vod východního pobřeží západní Malajsie, ve státě Selangor. Dosahuje délky 30 až 35 mm. Mezinárodní svaz ochrany přírody ji řadí mezi ohrožené druhy, nebezpečí představuje především ničení přirozeného prostředí. (cs)

- Parosphromenus harveyi is a species of gourami endemic to Malaysia, where it is only known from Selangor. The most extreme freshwater habitats in Peninsular Malaysia is the peat swamp forest that consist of dark-coloured and highly acidic waters. Parosphromenus harveyi is known as licorice gourami, small labyrinth fishes located within the north Selangor peat swamp forest from the Tanjong Malim area in neighbouring Perak state at least one population distribution that exhibit a wide variety of morphological and behavioural traits. Species of the osphronemid genus Parosphromenus (usually <30 mm SL) that stenotypic inhabitant of peat swamp forests and associated black water streams which has a very little light penetrates. Parosphromenus was established by Brown, 1987. Since 1950s, the additional taxa have been described on a sporadic basis and there are 20 recognised members at present. (en)

Свою назву він отримав на честь британського акваріуміста Віллі Гарві (англ. Willi Harvey, 1916—2013), спеціаліста з коропозубих та лабіринтових риб. Перший опис Parosphromenus harveyi, зроблений Барбарою Браун (англ. Barbara Brown) в акваріумному журналі Aquarist and Pondkeeper за червень 1987 року — це, як і у випадку з P. allani, лише оголошення про відкриття нового виду, яке не містить точної таксономічної інформації та інформації про типовий зразок (голотип). 1984 року подружжя Браунів (англ. Barbara and Allan Brown) законсервувало й відправило на зберігання деякі зразки P. harveyi. Пітер Нг (англ. Peter Ng) позначив їх як , а 2005 року Моріс Коттела (фр. Maurice Kottelat) та Пітер Нг обрали один із них як лектотип. Повноцінний опис виду станом на 2020 рік так і не був опублікований. Всередині роду Паросфромен виділяється так звана група видів P. harvey, яка вражає своєю однорідністю. Група включає P. harveyi, P. bintan, P. alfredi, P. opallios, P. rubrimontis, P. tweediei та багато інших локальних, ще науково не описаних форм. Їхня диференціація є складною й суперечливою. Ці види розрізняються лише забарвленням, морфологічні ж показники є більш-менш однаковими або діапазони значень перетинаються. (uk)
