The Institute is working for the benefit of this University and the Opole local community. The Opole Centre is one of the 200 such offices in the world associated in an international web, whose principal office Hanban (Office of Chinese Language Council International) is situated in Beijing. The Opole University of Technology is also an individual full member of the European University Association (EUA). The European University Association (EUA) represents and supports higher education institutions in 46 countries, providing them with a unique forum to cooperate and keep abreast of the latest trends in higher education and research policies. - Politechnika Opolska – jedna z dziewiętnastu państwowych uczelni technicznych w Polsce z siedzibą w Opolu. Powstała w 1996 roku w wyniku przekształcenia działającej od 1966 roku Wyższej Szkoły Inżynierskiej w Politechnikę. Jest jedną z najważniejszych uczelni w Opolu, na której studiuje ponad 6 tysięcy studentów. W roku 2016 obchodziła swoje 50–lecie. Kształci studentów na 26 kierunkach, na studiach stacjonarnych oraz niestacjonarnych. Od kilkunastu lat Politechnika Opolska jest uczelnią interdyscyplinarną z przewagą kierunków technicznych. W jej ramach znajduje się 7 wydziałów oraz Biblioteka Główna i Centrum Językowe. Aktualnie zatrudnionych jest 504 pracowników naukowo-dydaktycznych, z czego 29 na stanowisku profesora zwyczajnego, 119 na stanowisku profesora nadzwyczajnego, 219 na stanowisku adiunkta, 60 na stanowisku asystenta oraz 76 na pozostałych stanowiskach. Według stanu na 2017 rok na uczelni studiuje łącznie 6203 studentów, w tym 4587 na studiach stacjonarnych i 1616 na studiach niestacjonarnych, 130 doktorantów oraz 147 słuchaczy studiów podyplomowych. Według Webometrycznego rankingu uniwersytetów świata ze stycznia 2019, opracowanego przez hiszpańskie Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas uczelnia zajmuje 12. miejsce w Polsce wśród uczelni technicznych, a na świecie 1811. pośród wszystkich typów uczelni. W 2022 r. w rankingu Nature Index Politechnikę Opolską sklasyfikowano na 11. miejscu wśród uczelni technicznych i 41. wśród wszystkich uczelni w Polsce. W 2021 roku dwunastu naukowców Politechniki Opolskiej znalazło się w prestiżowym rankingu 2% najbardziej wpływowych naukowców na świecie przygotowanym przez amerykański Uniwersytet Stanforda wraz z wydawnictwem Elsevier. Zgodnie z danymi zawartymi w bazie Web of Science Core Collection w 2021 roku naukowcy Politechniki Opolskiej byli cytowani na całym świecie 11 319 razy. (pl)
