- Ópera Soft fou una de les companyies de videojocs més importants de l'época daurada del programari a l'estat espanyol (coneguda com a Edad de Oro del Soft Español). Fundada en 1987, es considera que el primer títol amb el qual Ópera Soft va començar a desenvolupar videojocs fou Livingstone Supongo. Ópera va obtindre un gran ressò amb aquest títol, però no seria fins al llançament de La abadía del crimen quan Ópera Soft obtindria el seu major èxit. Cap al final de la seua vida comercial, Opera Soft es va disgregar en dos segells, Opera Plus i Opera Sport, essent este últim un segell especialitzat en programari esportiu. Com la majoria de les companyies de programari a l'estat espanyol, Ópera Soft no va saber adaptar-se al canvi dels 8 bits als 16 bits i va desaparèixer a començaments dels anys 1990. (ca)

- Opera Soft was a Spanish computer game developer of the Golden Era of Spanish Software of the 1980s. It released many games for the ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC and similar computers in the mid-1980s, but its games were not as popular on the PC. Founded in 1986, the company obtained success with its title (Livingstone, I Presume) in the same year. The game is based on the 19th-century explorer Dr. Livingstone. Within Spain, one of their most popular games was La Abadía del Crimen (The Abbey of Crime), based on Umberto Eco's novel The Name of the Rose. Like many other Spanish software companies of the time, Opera Soft did not adapt to the generational change and went out of business in the early 1990s with the emergence of 16-bit video games. (en)
