- Das Projekt Offshore & Onshore Reliability Data (OREDA) wurde 1981 in Kooperation mit den norwegischen Öl und Gasbehörden gegründet. Es ist eine der verlässlichsten Datenquellen der Öl- und Gasindustrie und wird als eine einzigartige Quelle für Daten über Fehlerraten, Fehlerursachen, deren Verteilung und Reparaturzeiten von in der Onshore und Offshore-Industrie verwendeter Ausrüstung angesehen. OREDAs ursprüngliches Augenmerk war die Sammlung objektiver Daten über die Zuverlässigkeit der in der Mineralölindustrie verwendeten Sicherheitsausrüstungen. Die nun bestehende Organisation besteht aus einem Zusammenschluss verschiedener Mineralöl- und Erdgasförderer und wurde 1983 gegründet. Zur gleichen Zeit hat sich der Tätigkeit von OREDA auf ein breites Spektrum von Zuverlässigkeitsdaten über in der Förderindustrie verwendete Ausrüstung ausgedehnt. OREDA betrachtet vornehmlich Offshore-, Unterwasser- und Topsideequipment, schließt aber auch landseitige Förder- und Transportmittel wie Pipelines mit ein. Das OREDA-Projekt möchte durch die Sammlung und Analyse von Daten aus der Instandhaltung und dem Betrieb, der etablierten Datenbank mit Zuverlässigkeitsdaten von hoher Qualität und durch den Austausch von Technologien im Bereich Zuverlässigkeit, Instandhaltung und Sicherheit (RAM Reliability, Availability, Maintainablility) untereinander mit den teilnehmenden Gesellschaften, zur Verbesserung der Sicherheit und Kosteneffektivitäet im Design und im Betrieb von Öl- und Gasförderungs- sowie Produktionsanlagen beitragen. - Le projet OREDA (acronyme de Offshore & onshore REliability DAta) a été lancé en 1981 par le Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (maintenant Agence de la sécurité pétrolière de Norvège). Au fil des ans, le projet est devenu « la principale source de données de fiabilité des équipments pour l'industrie pétrolière et gazière ». Il est considéré comme « une source d'information unique sur les taux de défaillance, leur distribution par mode de défaillance ainsi que les temps de réparation moyens pour les équipements utilisés dans l'industrie pétrolière ». L'objectif initial d'OREDA était la collecte de données de fiabilité pour les équipements de sécurité utilisés dans l'industrie pétrolière. L'organisation est composée de plusieurs grands groupes pétroliers qui depuis la création en 1983, coopèrent dans la poursuite du but initial. Par ailleurs, le champ d'application d'OREDA a été étendu pour couvrir les données de fiabilité pour un large éventail de matériels utilisés dans le pétrole et le gaz de l'exploration à la production (E&P). OREDA couvre principalement l'exploitation en mer pour les équipements sous-marins ou hors de l'eau. Mais le projet couvre également certaines installations terrestres d'exploration et de production ainsi que certaines installations médianes (ex. raffineries). - The Offshore and Onshore Reliability Data (OREDA) project was established in 1981 in cooperation with the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (now Petroleum Safety Authority Norway). It is "one of the main reliability data sources for the oil and gas industry" and considered "a unique data source on failure rates, failure mode distribution and repair times for equipment used in the offshore industr[y]. OREDA's original objective was the collection of petroleum industry safety equipment reliability data. The current organization, as a cooperating group of several petroleum and natural gas companies, was established in 1983, and at the same time the scope of OREDA was extended to cover reliability data from a wide range of equipment used in oil and gas exploration and production (E&P). OREDA primarily covers offshore, subsea and topside equipment, but does also include some onshore E&P, and some downstream equipment as well. The main objective of the OREDA project is to contribute to an improved safety and cost-effectiveness in design and operation of oil and gas E&P facilities, through collection and analysis of maintenance and operational data, establishment of a high quality reliability database, and exchange of reliability, availability, maintenance and safety (RAMS) technology among the participating companies.
