- نيوسايا فريري (14 سبتمبر 1953 - 28 ديسمبر 2019) أكاديمية وسياسية برازيلية. بعد عملها كباحثة طبية وأستاذة جامعية انتقلت فريري إلى إدارة الجامعة. أشرفت على الدراسات العليا وشواغل الميزانية قبل ترقيتها لمنصب عميد جامعة ريو دي جانيرو الفيدرالية. في عام 2004 أصبحت وزيرة في الحكومة، بصفتها الأمانة الخاصة لسياسات المرأة. عملت من 2005 إلى 2007 كرئيسة للجنة البلدان الأمريكية للمرأة. في نهاية فترة عملها أصبحت الممثلة البرازيلية لمؤسسة فورد وأشرفت على برامجها لتعزيز الفرص والعدالة للأقليات الممثلة تمثيلا ناقصا. - Nilcéa Freire (14 September 1953 – 28 December 2019) was a Brazilian academic and politician. After a career as a medical researcher and professor, Freire moved into university administration. She oversaw graduate studies and budgetary concerns before being promoted as dean of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. In 2004 she became a government minister, as the Special Secretariat of Policies for Women. She served from 2005 to 2007 as the President of the Inter-American Commission of Women. At the end of her term, she became the Brazilian representative for the Ford Foundation and oversaw their programs to promote opportunity and justice for underrepresented minorities. (en)
