Nefertkau II. je výslovně označena za dceru Snofrua v nápisech hrobky jejího syna a jejího vnuka. Německý egyptolog argumentoval z nápisu v Nefermaatově hrobce, že si Nefertkau II. vzala svého vlastního otce a že Nefermaat byl tedy Snofruův syn. argumentoval proti této teorii a navrhl, že si Nefertkau možná vzala Chufua. Nefertkau II. byla možná pohřbena v mastabě G 7050 v Gíze. Hrobka však není popsána, takže vlastnictví je jen hypotetické. (cs)

A les tombes del seu fill i del seu net hi apareix citada explícitament com a filla de Snefru. Kurt Heinrich Sethe va argumentar a partir de la inscripció de la tomba de Nefermaat que Nefertkau s’havia casat amb el seu propi pare i que Nefermaat era el fill de Snefru. George Andrew Reisner era contrari, en canvi, a aquesta teoria i va suggerir que Nefertkau podria haver-se casat amb Khufu; si no, accepta la possibilitat que Nefertkau s'hagués unit a un home noble del qual se n'ha perdut el nom. S'ha proposat que haguessin enterrat a Nefertkau a la mastaba G 7050 del camp oriental de la necròpolis de Gizeh. La tomba no té inscripció, de manera que la seva propietat roman en la conjectura. La tomba es va utilitzar per a nous enterraments durant els temps saïtes (XXVI dinastia) o ptolemaics i avui està molt malmesa. (ca)

She was the mother of Nefermaat II and the grandmother of Sneferukhaf. Nefertkau is explicitly said to be a daughter of Sneferu in inscriptions from the tomb of her son and her grandson. Kurt Heinrich Sethe argued from the inscription in Nefermaat’s tomb that Nefertkau had married her own father and that Nefermaat was Sneferu’s son. George Andrew Reisner argued against this theory and suggested that Nefertkau may have married Khufu. He does allow for the possibility that Nefertkau married a noble man whose name was lost.
