- السجل المدني للمواطنين هو سجل لجميع المواطنين الهنود، الصادر بموجب . وقد تم تنفيذه في دولة آسام ابتداء من 2013-2014. تخطط الحكومة الهندية إلى تعميمه على بقية البلاد في عام 2021. وفقًا لقواعد قانون المواطنة لعام 2003، يمكن للحكومة المركزية إصدار أمر لإعداد السجل الوطني للسكان (NPR) وإنشاءه استنادًا إلى البيانات التي تم جمعها فيه. كما ينص تعديل عام 2003 على أن المسؤولين المحليين سيقررون بعد ذلك ما إذا كان سيتم إضافة اسم الشخص إلى السجل أم لا، وبالتالي تحديد وضع جنسيته. ليست هناك حاجة لقواعد أو قوانين جديدة للقيام بهذا الإجراء في كل أنحاء الهند. - The National Register of Citizens (NRC) is a register of all Indian citizens whose creation is mandated by the 2003 amendment of the Citizenship Act, 1955. Its purpose is to document all the legal citizens of India so that the illegal immigrants can be identified and deported. It has been implemented for the state of Assam starting in 2013–2014. The Government of India announced plans to implement it for the rest of the country in 2021, but it has not yet been implemented. (en)
- Daftar Nasional Warga Negara India (Hindi: राष्ट्रीय नागरिक रजिस्टर) (NRC) adalah daftar semua warga negara India yang kelahirannya diamanatkan oleh amandemen Undang-Undang Kewarganegaraan tahun 2003, 1955. Tujuannya adalah untuk mendokumentasikan semua warga negara legal India sehingga para imigran ilegal dapat diidentifikasi dan dideportasi. Hal ini telah diterapkan untuk negara bagian Assam mulai tahun 2013-2014. Pemerintah India berencana menerapkannya untuk negara lainnya pada tahun 2020. (in)
