- El Consejo Nacional Panhelénico (en inglés estadounidense: National Panhellenic Council) (NPHC) es una organización que reúne a nueve fraternidades y sororidades de estudiantes afroestadounidenses. Cada una de estas asociaciones de estudiantes tiene en común el hecho de haberse desarrollado durante un período en donde los estudiantes afroestadounidenses eran sometidos a la segregación racial por parte del gobierno y los otros estudiantes. El Consejo Nacional Panhelénico se formó oficialmente el 10 de mayo de 1930 en el campus de la Universidad de Howard en Washington DC, y fue incorporada en el año 1937. - The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) is a collaborative umbrella council composed of historically African American fraternities and sororities also referred to as Black Greek Letter Organizations (BGLOs). The NPHC was formed as a permanent organization on May 10, 1930, on the campus of Howard University, in Washington, D.C. with Matthew W. Bullock as the active Chairman and B. Beatrix Scott as Vice-Chairman. NPHC was incorporated under the laws of the State of Illinois in 1937. The council promotes interaction through forums, meetings, and other media for the exchange of information and engages in cooperative programming and initiatives through various activities and functions. Each constituent member organization determines its own strategic direction and program agenda. Today, the primary purpose and focus of member organizations remains camaraderie and academic excellence for its members and service to the communities they serve. Each promotes community awareness and action through educational, economic, and cultural service activities. (en)
- Le National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) est une organisation regroupant neuf fraternités et sororités étudiantes afro-américaines historiques. Chacune des neuf de ces fraternités étudiantes ont en commun le fait de s'être développée durant des périodes ou les étudiants noirs américains subissaient une ségrégation par rapport aux autres étudiants. La NPHC s'est officiellement formée le 10 mai 1930, sur le campus de l'Université Howard, à Washington DC. Les fraternités Omega Psi Phi, , Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, et en les cinq membres fondatrices.
