- Der Leuchtturm Mulantou (chinesisch 木栏头灯塔), auch bekannt als Leuchtturm Hainan, befindet sich im nördlichen Wenchang auf der Insel Hainan in der gleichnamigen Provinz Hainan der Volksrepublik China. Er ist der fünfthöchste Leuchtturm der Welt und der höchste in China. Dieser aktive Leuchtturm wurde 1995 erbaut und sendet aus 88 Metern Höhe alle 15 Sekunden zwei weiße Blitze aus. Der 72 m hohe Turm steht auf einem felsigen Vorgebirge, das die nordöstliche Spitze der Provinz markiert und die Südseite des Eingangs zur etwa 20 km breiten Hainanstraße. Built in 1995, this active lighthouse has a focal plane of 289 feet (88 m). It emits two white flashes every 15 seconds. The Mulantou Lighthouse is 237 feet (72 m) tall. It is located on a sharp promontory at the northeastern tip of the province, and marks the south side of the entrance to Qiongzhou Strait. The structure is round cylindrical concrete rising from a 2-story circular base. It has a large circular observation room. This lighthouse is white in colour with red trim. (en)
