- Kido Moses Witbooi, eigentlich ǀGâbeb ǃA-ǁîmab (* 1807/1808 in Pella, Kapkolonie, heute Südafrika; † 22. Februar 1888 in Gibeon, heute Namibia) war von 1885 bis zu seinem Tod Kaptein der Witbooi (ǀKhowesin). Moses war der Sohn des Häuptlings Kido Witbooi (ǂA-ǁêib) und Vater von Hendrik Witbooi (ǃNanseb ǀGabemab). Er wurde in Stammesfehden wegen Verrats zum Tode verurteilt und von seinem eigenen Schwager erschossen, der sich anschließend in der Siedlung Hornkranz zum Kaptein der Witbooi und Kaptein von Groß-Namaland erklärte. Doch Hendrik Witbooi rächte seinen Vater, tötete Visser am 12. Juli 1888 und machte sich zum neuen Kaptein. (de)

He was the son of Kido Witbooi, founder of the clan. He became the de facto leader in 1870, but official chief only at his father's death on 31 December 1875. In the 1880s, he allied with Jan Jonker Afrikaner against the Herero people. Late in 1887 he was deposed by his son-in-law Paul Visser, who had him executed early the next year. His son Hendrik Witbooi soon after killed Visser and reunited the Oorlam under his rule. (en)
