- MEASAT (disebut juga MEASAT Satellite Systems), singkatan dari Malaysia East Asia Satellite adalah operator satelit telekomunikasi milik Malaysia yang dibuat oleh Sdn Bhd. Perusahaan ini pertama kali meluncurkan satelitnya yang bernama Measat pada tahun 1996 dengan dua versi sekaligus dan di bandara angkasa Eropa, Kourou. Peluncuruan kedua satelit tersebut melayani jasa telekomunikasi dan penyiaran di seluruh kawasan Asia Tenggara pada tahun 1996 seperti televisi kabel Astro. Pada mulanya MEASAT merupakan bagian dari , lalu berubah menjadi independen pada tahun 1998 dan selanjutnya dibeli oleh (MTC) sehingga perusahaan pemegang satelit itu pun berubah yang sebelumnya adalah MEASAT Global Berhad menjadi MEASAT Satellite Systems Sdn Bhd. Sampai pada tahun 2014, MEASAT telah memiliki armada satelit seperti , dan yang mana ketiga satelit ini berkolokasi pada 91.5 bujur timur. Ketiga satelit ini mendukung pelayanan penyiaran televisi kabel. Selain itu di Afrika telah diluncurkan satelit bernama AFRICASAT-1a pada 46 BT yang memiliki kapasitas menaungi koneksi telekomunikasi di Afrika dengan sambungan ke Eropa, Timur Tengah, dan Asia Tenggara. Selanjutnya, seluruh armada satelit ini akan semakin diperkuat dengan peluncuran di 91.5 BT pada tahun 2016 dan pada 148.0 BT pada tahun 2017. (in)

Atualmente, a rede de satélites MEASAT consiste em quatro satélites geoestacionários concebidos e construídos pelas empresas Boeing Satellite Systems e Orbital Sciences Corporation. O MEASAT-2 (Africasat 2) foi lançado em 1996, o MEASAT-3 em 2006, o MEASAT-3A em 2008 e o MEASAT-3B em 2014.
