- McCowan ist eine oberirdische U-BahnhofU-Bahn-Station in Toronto. Sie ist die östliche Endstation der Scarborough-Linie und liegt an der Kreuzung von McCowan Road und Bushby Drive. Die Station besitzt Seitenbahnsteige und wird täglich von durchschnittlich 3.860 Fahrgästen genutzt (2018), womit sie zu den am schwächsten frequentierten des Subway-Netzes gehört. Die geringe Auslastung hängt damit zusammen, dass die nahe gelegene Station Scarborough Centre als Nahverkehrsknoten konzipiert ist und somit weitaus mehr Verkehr anzieht. Die Strecke verläuft in diesem Bereich auf einem Viadukt, senkt sich östlich der Station auf Bodenhöhe und endet in der Abstell- und Wartungsanlage McCowan Yard. Hauptuntersuchungen werden dort nicht durchgeführt. Die Züge werden in solchen Fällen aufgrund der abweichenden Spurweite per LKW zur Hauptbetriebswerkstatt Greenwood Yard transportiert. In McCowan bestehen Umsteigemöglichkeiten zu drei Buslinien der Toronto Transit Commission. Die Eröffnung der Station erfolgte am 24. März 1985, zusammen mit der gesamten Scarborough-Linie zwischen Kennedy und McGowan. In einem zweiten Schritt sollte die von Linearmotor-Zügen befahrene Strecke in den Stadtteil Malvern verlängert werden, wofür ein Korridor entlang einer stillgelegten Bahnstrecke bereitgestanden hätte. Das Vorhaben wurde jedoch 1995 endgültig zu den Akten gelegt. Gemäß aktuellen Planungen wird die Scarborough-Linie durch eine Verlängerung der Bloor-Danforth-Linie ersetzt werden, jedoch auf einer anderen Route. - McCowan is a terminal station on Line 3 Scarborough of the Toronto subway. It is located at 1275 McCowan Road, just north of Ellesmere Road at Bushby Drive/Town Centre Court. Both of the surface routes that pass the McCowan station also stop at Scarborough Centre station, located almost directly across McCowan Road, effectively leaving McCowan as a dead-end in the system. The station is on three levels: Line 3 is on the upper floor, the automatic entrance from the Consilium Place office complex via the Pedway pedestrian walkway is on the second floor, and the station entrance from McCowan Road with the collector, and the concourse are on the lower floor. In February 2021, the TTC recommended the closure of Line 3 in 2023 and its replacement by bus service until the completion of the Scarborough extension of Line 2 Bloor–Danforth. - McCowan é uma estação do , localizada na linha Scarborough RT, o qual é o término leste da linha. McCowan é a estação de metrô mais oriental do metrô de Toronto. Localiza-se na McCowan Road, uma rua arterial que serve a estação. McCowan possui um terminal de estacionamento de trens (capaz de estacionar até 16 trens) e manutenção básica, embora reparos mais extensivos requerem transporte dos vagões a serem reparados até o terminal de manutenção da estação Greenwood, via caminhões. McCowan não possui um terminal de ônibus integrado, e passageiros das linhas de superfície que conectam-se com a estação precisam de um transfer para poderem transferirem-se da linha de superfície para o metrô e vice-versa. Apesar de ser a estação mais oriental do metrô de Toronto, a grande maioria das linhas de ônibus do Toronto Transit Commission utilizam o Scarborough Centre como ponto de conexão (outras linhas utilizam Kennedy.
