- Maximiliano Jorge "Max" Caldas (born 9 March 1973) is an Argentine field hockey defender, who made his debut for the national squad in 1994, and competed for his native country in the 1996 Summer Olympics and the 2004 Summer Olympics. Caldas, the former husband of Australian Hockey Olympian Alyson Annan, played for four years in the Netherlands, at HC Klein Zwitserland, before retiring due to injury. He then started a career as a hockey coach. His first team to be coached was Leiden Heren 1 (Men), he finished second in the Dutch 'eerste klasse' (1st class). Caldas coaches Amsterdam Dames 1 (Women) in the Dutch 'Hoofdklasse' (highest league) since the summer of 2006. Caldas was the assistant-coach of the Dutch women's national team, that became world champion on 8 October 2006 and captured the gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, PR China. Since 2010 Maximiliano Caldas is the Dutch women's national team coach. On the 2012 Olympics he won gold as a coach with the Dutch women's. They also grabbed the gold at the first edition of the Hockey World League in 2013. In June 2014 he won his third gold with the Dutch women at the Hockey World Cup in The Hague. Il a fait ses débuts avec la sélection en 1994 et participé aux Jeux olympiques d'été en 1996 et en 2004. Max Caldas est le mari d'Alyson Annan, il a joué pour 4 saisons aux Pays-Bas au HC Klein Zwitserland, avant de déclarer forfait du à une blessure. Il entame alors une carrière d'entraîneur de hockey. Sa première équipe à être entraînée était Leiden Heren 1 (hommes), il a terminé deuxième de la «eerste klasse» néerlandaise (1ère classe). Caldas entraîne Amsterdam Dames 1 (Femmes) dans la "Hoofdklasse" néerlandaise (ligue la plus élevée) depuis l'été 2006. Caldas était l'entraîneur adjoint de l'équipe néerlandaise féminine, qui est devenue champion du monde le 8 octobre 2006 et a remporté la médaille d'or aux Jeux olympiques d'été de 2008 à Pékin, en Chine. Depuis 2010, Max Caldas est l'entraîneur de l'équipe nationale féminine néerlandaise. Aux Jeux olympiques de 2012, il a remporté l'or en tant qu'entraîneur avec les femmes néerlandaises. Ils ont également décroché l'or lors de la première édition de la Ligue mondiale de hockey en 2013. En juin 2014, il a remporté sa troisième médaille d'or avec les Néerlandaises lors de la Coupe du monde de hockey à La Haye. Il est maintenant responsable de l'équipe néerlandaise de hockey masculin.
