- Als Meister von Offida (it. Maestro di Offida) wird ein Maler der Mitte des 14. Jahrhunderts in Italien bezeichnet. Der namentlich nicht bekannte Künstler erhielt seinen Notnamen nach Fresken, die er in Kirchen in Offida in der Provinz Ascoli Piceno geschaffen hat. Nach Inschriften werden sie auf 1367 datiert. Dem stilistisch mit Giotto verwandten Meister werden weitere Freskenmalereien in der Region Marche und den Abruzzen zugerechnet. Deren Verbreitung zeigt den Ruf des Meisters, der von Auftragsstätte zu Auftragsstätte wanderte. Dem Meister und teilweise seiner Werkstatt zugeschriebene Werke sind beispielsweise zu finden in

- The Master of Offida (active mid to late 14th century) was an anonymous painter active in the towns of Offida and Ascoli Piceno in the Marche. He painted circa 1360-1370 frescoes in the church and crypt of in Offida, depicting prophets and saints including a Santa Caterina di Alessandria, but also an "Annunciation, a "Madonna del Latte. Frescoes in the church of San Vittore in Ascoli Piceno, are attributed to this painter. A folding tablet of tempera on gilded wood at the Fogg Art Museum depicting The Virgin and Child Enthroned; Christ on the Cross between the Virgin and Saint John the Evangelist has been attributed to the painter. Un élément particulièrement distinctif qui permet de reconnaître les œuvres de ce peintre est constitué par la manière dont sont représentés les rayons des auréoles des saints . La Natività, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata (Montecosaro) Il Maestro di Offida avrebbe affiancato, da giovane il in un affresco con Crocifissione recentemente scoperto nell'atrio della cattedrale di Ascoli Piceno. Dalle Marche meridionali, in seguito si sarebbe spostato in Abruzzo fino in Basilicata. Un elemento distintivo che permette di riconosce le opere di questo pittore è costituito dal modo di rappresentare i raggi delle aureole dei santi. Si sarebbe trattato forse di un monaco, che avrebbe dipinto in uno stile derivato da una trasposizione dell'eredità giottesca. (it)
- Meester van Offida is de noodnaam van een Italiaans kunstschilder die actief was tussen 1330 en 1380. Hij werd genoemd naar de frescocyclus in de crypte van de Santa Maria della Rocca in Offida, waaraan hij zou meegewerkt hebben. Offida is een gemeente in de provincie Ascoli Piceno in de regio Marche. Deze cyclus werd toegeschreven aan de kring rond of aan Andrea van Bologna, waarmee deze meester zou samengewerkt hebben. Hij zou opgeleid zijn in de Marche en hij putte uit de beeldcultuur van Rimini, die beïnvloed was door Giotto, en wijdverspreid langs de Adriatische kust tot aan het zuiden van de Abruzzen. Als jonge man zou hij hebben meegewerkt met de Meester van het veelluik van Ascoli aan een fresco van de kruisiging, dat onlangs ontdekt werd in het atrium van de kathedraal van Ascoli Piceno.. Vanuit het zuidelijke Marche, zou hij later verhuizen naar de Abruzzen en van daar naar Basilicata. Hij schilderde in een hoofs-realistische stijl en zette zich af tegen de rigiditeit van de Byzantijnse school.
