The Magech River (Amharic: መገጭ) is a river of Ethiopia. It rises just off the city of Gondar, and flows south into Lake Tana at the latitude and longitude of 12°16′10″N 37°23′50″E / 12.26944°N 37.39722°E. Its tributaries include the Dmaza, the Lesser Angereb, and the Ahyamezoriya. The Magech is known for having two bridges cross it which were built either by Portuguese artisans or during the reign of Fasilides: one of five arches, and another of three arches upstream near Gondar.
