- Maevia Noemí Correa (14 de febrero de 1914 - 18 de abril de 2005) fue una botánica, investigadora, curadora y profesora argentina. Estudió en la Facultad de Ciencias Naturales y Museo de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata; y en 1953, se tituló de Doctor en Ciencias Naturales en la misma universidad, habiendo realizado el estudio de Las Orquídeas Argentinas de la Tribu Polychondreae Schltr., subtribu Spiranthinae Pfitzer, bajo la dirección del Dr. Ángel L. Cabrera. Entre 1956 a 1957, es becada por la American Asociation of University Women, realizando estudios en el Departamento de Botánica de la Universidad de California, Berkeley. Y de 1956 a 1958 fue Técnica Investigadora del Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería de la Nación, en el Instituto de Botánica; y creado el INTA, lo fue entre 1958 a 1983, Técnica Investigadora del Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Agropecuaria (INTA), en el Instituto de Botánica Agrícola, Castelar, provincia de Buenos Aires. En 1958 coordina "Estudio y relevamiento de la Flora Patagónica", proyecto que llevó adelante hasta su publicación. Su labor como Investigadora del INTA, fue llevar a cabo el proyecto de "Estudio taxonómico de la Flora Patagónica". Fue también Curadora del Herbario (BAB), y fue Coordinadora Nacional del Plan Floras Regionales entre 1981 a 1990. (es)

She studied at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Museum Studies at the National University of La Plata, and in 1953 completed a doctorate in natural sciences at the same university, with a dissertation titled, "Las Orquídeas Argentinas de la Tribu Polychondreae Schltr., subtribu Spiranthinae Pfitzer", under the direction of Dr. Ángel Lulio Cabrera. Between 1956 and 1957, the American Association of University Women sponsored her study at the University of California, Berkeley. From 1956 to 1958, she served as technical researcher at the Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería, and the Botany Institute in Argentina. She is associated with the National Agricultural Technology Institute (NITA) and served there between 1958 and 1983 as a technical researcher. She worked on several projects during her career including "Estudio y relevamiento de la Flora Patagónica", and "Estudio taxonómico de la Flora Patagónica". She served as herbarium curator, and as the Argentine National Coordinator of the Regional Flora Plan (1981–1990). (en)
