- MSI Wind je netbook od firmy . Wind byl poprvé představen na výstavě CeBIT 2008 a první předobjednávky byly přijímány 9. května 2008. Wind PC je odpovědí firmy MSI na velmi populární notebook ASUS Eee PC, který byl od počátku průkopníkem v oblasti subnotebooků a řada firem se nyní snaží přijít s podobným řešením a ukousnout i pro sebe část z tohoto zjevně velmi lákavého trhu laciných a miniaturních počítačů označovaných často také slovem "NetBooks". Cena MSI Wind s předinstalovaným operačním systémem Linux se v českých obchodech pohybuje na hranici 10 000 Kč bez DPH. Jak se zdá je v českých obchodech dostupná pouze varianta s větším 10" displejem. (cs)

Sus primeras versiones eran de 8,9 y 10,1 pulgadas, con una resolución de 1024x600 píxeles, y traían incorporada una batería de 3 o 6 celdas; con un disco duro de entre 80 y 160 GB y entre 512 MiB y 1 GiB de memoria RAM. Estos modelos venían además en dos configuraciones en las que se incluía el sistema operativo Windows XP o una versión especial de SUSE Linux. Utilizaba chipset Intel y un procesador Atom N270 de 1,6 ghz. Por último traía integrada conexión ethernet, wifi, cámara web de 1,3 Mp y, dependiendo el modelo, conexión bluetooth. Posteriormente, salieron al mercado otros modelos con versiones más nuevas del Intel Atom e incluso con procesadores AMD, y con un tamaño de pantalla de hasta 12 pulgadas. (es)
- The MSI Wind Netbook was a family of subnotebooks / netbooks designed by Micro-Star International (MSI). Wind stands for "Wi-Fi Network Device". The first model was announced at CeBIT 2008, and first listed for pre-orders on May 9, 2008. While initially 8.9- and 10.1-inch screen versions existed, as of 2010 only the 10.1" remained, with a resolution of 1024×600. While most models had 1 GB of RAM, some had 2 GB, and hard disks ranged from 80 GB on the oldest to 250 GB on the newest models. Also featured were Bluetooth, WLAN and a 1.3 megapixel camera. The Wind PC was MSI's response to the successful Asus Eee PC. The keyboard was 92% of full-size. Now available by MSI are 10-inch and 7-inch Wind Pad tablets using the Android operating system. (en)
- Le MSI Wind est une gamme d'ordinateurs fabriquée par Micro-Star International et fait partie de la catégorie des netbooks. Le nom Wind est une contraction de WIreless Network Device. Le modèle U100 se positionne en concurrent direct de l'Asus Eee PC 901. Comme celui-ci, il possède un processeur Intel Atom de très faible consommation (3 watts) et une webcam de 1,3 mégapixel selon les versions. Son clavier est cependant plus proche de celui d'un « vrai » ultraportable. Il y a actuellement plusieurs versions du MSI Wind : le U90, U100, U100plus, U130, U135, U135DX, U140, U150, U160, U120, U200, U210, U230, U250, U270 et le U180. Les principales nouveautés sont aux niveaux du processeur et du chipset : Le N270 avec le chipset GMA945GM pour le U100 et le Z530 accompagné du chipset US15W (Poulsbo) pour le U115. Ce dernier est censé consommer moins d'énergie grâce à une consommation de la part du processeur très faible (2 watts), d'un chipset capable de décoder de la vidéo tout seul, ainsi qu'un stockage hybride composé d'un disque SSD et d'un disque dur normal. Cette technologie permet au Wind U115 d'atteindre une autonomie record d'environ 20 h, cependant un test effectué par un particulier montre une autonomie réelle de 25 h. (fr)
