- Η λεπραρία (Lepraria) ή αμφιλόμη (Amphiloma) είναι γένος από λειχήνες με 70 περίπου είδη, που φύονται με τη μορφή κηλίδων επικαλυπτόμενων με κρούστα, αλλά δεν έχουν φλοιό και έτσι με το άγγιγμα διαλύονται με τη μορφή αλευρωδών κόκκων. Το κυρίως σώμα τους απλώνεται ακτινωτά και αποτελείται από σφαιρίδια χλωροφύκους περιβαλλόμενα από τον μύκητα. Δεν υπάρχουν γνωστοί μηχανισμοί έμφυλης (σεξουαλικής) αναπαραγωγής της λεπραρίας, ωστόσο μέλη του γένους συνεχίζουν την ειδογένεση. Μερικά είδη μπορούν να σχηματίζουν ακραίους λοβούς και εμφανίζονται σαν να έχουν λεπίδια. Οι λεπραρίες φύονται πάνω σε πέτρες, βράχους ή κορμούς δέντρων. The main vegetative body (thallus) is made of patches of soredia (little balls of algae wrapped in fungus). There are no known mechanisms for sexual reproduction, yet members of the genus continue to speciate. Some species can form marginal lobes and appear squamulose. Because of the morphological simplicity of the thallus and the absence of sexual structures, the composition of lichen products (i.e., secondary metabolites made by lichens) are important characters to distinguish between similar species in Lepraria.
