- The leader of the government in the House of Commons (French: leader du gouvernement à la Chambre des communes), more commonly known as the government house leader, is the Cabinet minister responsible for planning and managing the government's legislative program in the House of Commons of Canada. Despite the name of the position it does not refer to the prime minister of Canada, who is the head of government. (en)

Depuis quelques années, des portefeuilles ne comprenant que peu ou pas de responsabilités sont donnés aux Leaders du gouvernement, leur permettant de se concentrer pleinement sur les affaires de la Chambre des communes.
