- Koryo hand acupuncture is a modern system of acupuncture, created by Yu Tae-u in the 1970s, in which the hand represents the entire body and is needled or stimulated during treatment. Koryo hand acupuncture is popular among the general population as a form of self-medication in Korea, and has adherents in Japan and North America; it is also popular among overseas Koreans. Korean hand acupuncture is different from American hand reflexology, another form of alternative medicine. One of the main differences between the two forms of alternative therapies is that they each use a different hand microsystem, which is the idea that specific areas of the hand correspond to specific areas of the body. Korean hand acupuncturists believe the entire body can be mapped on each hand, whereas their Western counterparts believe each hand represents only one side of the body. (en)
- La manupuncture coréenne (MC) dont le nom originel est koryo sooji chim (고려수지침) est une acupuncture coréenne de la main. Elle a été proposée en 1971, puis étudiée et développée par le Pr Yoo Tae Woo, acupuncteur enseignant à l’Institut Coréen d’Acupuncture et de Moxibustion Silroam (Corée du sud). La manupuncture coréenne est fondée sur une hypothèse selon laquelle les différentes parties de la main ont une correspondance avec les différentes parties du corps. Elle utilise des fondements de la médecine traditionnelle chinoise. Son objectif est de réguler l’énergie qui circule dans le corps afin d’exercer un effet préventif, ou curatif, sur les maladies. Une étude pratiquée dans l'université nationale de Kongju a trouvé une réduction de la douleur dans des cas de dysménorrhée. Des chercheurs de l'hôpital de Séoul et de l'université de Je[Où ?] ont trouvé une réduction de la douleur après une hystérectomie abdominale. (fr)

- Koreansk Handakupunktur, KHA, är en akupunkturmetod skapad av den koreanske läkaren Dr. Tae Woo Yoo mellan åren 1971 och 1975. Metoden praktiseras av läkare, akupunktörer och andra på flera kliniker och sjukhus i världen. Sedan år 2000 finns metoden även i Sverige och används bland annat på i Karlskrona. Förkortningen KHA används i Sverige och Tyskland. I andra länder benämns metoden
