- مثلث المعرفة (بالإنجليزية: Knowledge triangle) مثلث المعرفة هوالتفاعل الناشئ بين البحث والتعليم والابداع، والتي تعدّ بدورها المحركات الجوهرية لمجتمع قائم على المعرفة. وقد ذكرها أيضاً الاتحاد الأوروبي وذلك في محاولة لتحسين الربط بين هذه المفاهيم الرئيسية، ولقد تم تسليط الضوء بالفعل على عنصري البحث والابداع وذلك من منظور الاستراتيجه في لشبونة عاصمة البرتغال، ومؤخراً تكمن وراء إنشاء المعهد الأوروبي للتكنولوجيا. - The knowledge triangle refers to the interaction between research, education and innovation, which are key drivers of a knowledge-based society. In the European Union, it also refers to an attempt to better link together these key concepts, with research and innovation already highlighted by the development of the Lisbon Strategy and, more recently, lies behind the creation of the European Institute of Technology (EIT). - Il modello della tripla elica descrive le modalità di interazione e di interdipendenza fra i tre attori fondamentali dei processi innovativi: le università ed i centri di ricerca, il governo e le aziende. L'Unione europea ha cercato di dare attuazione concreta alle indicazioni di policy implicitamente contenute nel modello stesso attraverso la strategia di Lisbona e l'istituzione, nel 2008, dell'Istituto Europeo per l'Innovazione e la Tecnologia.
