Kim Ung-so (1564–1624) was a senior military officer in the Joseon dynasty. During the Imjin war, he was in charge of soldiers and horses in the Eastern Gyeongsang Province. During this war, he was ordered to proceed north with his troops and fight the Jurchens instead of the Japanese. His army of 15,000 Koreans later joined the Chinese Commander Ma Gui and 24,000 Chinese soldiers in the Second Siege of Ulsan; the combined force failed to take the Japanese Castle. The house where he was born in Okto-ri, Ryonggang County, Nampo is considered one of the National Treasures of North Korea.

  • 김경서(金景瑞, 1564년 ~ 1624년)는 조선 중기의 무관이다. 원래 이름은 김응서(金應瑞)였으나 임진왜란 이후 개명했다. 본관은 김해(金海)이며, 자는 (聖甫), 시호는 양의(襄毅)이다. 임진왜란 당시 평양의 대동강에서 일본군과 맞서 교전하였다. 정유재란 때에는 일본의 간첩 가케하시 시치다유의 농간에 속아 이순신을 공격하였다. 1619년에는 부원수로 도원수 강홍립과 함께 명나라를 지원하기 위해 출병하였으나, 광해군의 밀명으로 투항하였다. 이후 후금의 사정을 조선에 보고하려다가 청나라에 적발당하기도 했다. 그의 휘하에 있던 장수 중 김진 등이 살아서 조선에 도착하였다.
