- Kevin Walters, né le 20 octobre 1967 à Rockhampton dans l'État du Queensland, est un ancien joueur de rugby à XIII australien reconverti en entraîneur. Après une carrière de joueur de haut-niveau en Australie aux Brisbane Broncos et Canberra Raiders qui lui ont permis de remporter quatre New South Wales Rugby League et deux National Rugby League, il a également compté des sélections au State of Origin ainsi qu'en sélection australienne. Après avoir pris une retraite sportive en 2001, il se reconvertit dans le poste d'entraîneur, après avoir été l'adjoint de Wayne Bennett au Broncos, il connaît sa première expérience en tant qu'entraîneur principal lorsqu'il rejoint les Dragons Catalans en succédant à Mick Potter en 2009. Après avoir été à nouveau l'adjoint de Wayne Bennet aux Broncos et de Mal Meninga à la sélection du Queensland, il vient d’être nommé à la tête de cette dernière pour les State of Origin 2016. (fr)
- Kevin David Walters (born 20 October 1967) is an Australian professional rugby league football coach who is the Head Coach of the Brisbane Broncos in the NRL and a former professional rugby league footballer who played as a premiership-winning five-eighth and halfback in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. He previously coached the Queensland State of Origin team, as well as a former commentator for Fox League. Walters played for the Australian Kangaroos, Queensland Maroons and at professional club level primarily for the Brisbane Broncos. Along with twin Kerrod and older brother Steve, Kevin Walters started his playing career in the Brisbane Rugby League premiership before joining the NSWRL. He spent some time playing for the Canberra Raiders before moving to the Brisbane Broncos, where he played for the majority of his career and eventually took over the club's captaincy. He played in premiership-winning teams on six occasions as either player or captain and holds the record for most finals appearances. Walters also won premierships at both five-eighth alongside captain and longtime halves partner Allan Langer and halfback as the captain joined by Broncos current Head of Performance Ben Ikin at the scrumbase. Following retirement, Walters started coaching with the Toowoomba Clydesdales as head coach (2001-2003), Brisbane Broncos as assistant coach (2003-2005, 2015, 2018), Queensland Maroons as assistant coach (2006-2008, 2014-2015), Ipswich Jets as head coach (2007-2008), Catalans Dragons as head coach (2009-2010), Melbourne Storm as assistant coach (2011-2013), Newcastle Knights as assistant coach (2014) and as Queensland Maroons head coach (2016-2020) His coaching career continued as head coach of the Queensland Maroons until 2020 when he became head coach of the Brisbane Broncos.
