John Doubleday (born 1947) is a British painter and sculptor famous for his public sculptures and statues. Doubleday was born in 1947 in Langford, near Maldon and studied sculpture at Goldsmiths College. He has enjoyed a successful career as a public sculptor since his first one-man show at the Waterhouse and Dodd Gallery, London in 1968.
