- Ο Γιόχαν Μίκαελ Χαϊνέκιους (Johann Michael Heineccius, 14 Δεκεμβρίου 1674 – 11 Σεπτεμβρίου 1722), γνωστός εξελληνισμένα ως Ιωάννης Μιχαήλ Αϊνέκκιος ήταν πολύ γνωστός στην εποχή του Γερμανός Προτεστάντης θεολόγος και ιεροκήρυκας. Ο Γιόχαν Μίκαελ ήταν μεγαλύτερος αδελφός του δικαστή , ο οποίος επίσης είχε σπουδάσει και θεολογία. Τα δύο αδέλφια γεννήθηκαν στο της Θουριγγίας, κοντά στην Ιένα. Ο Γιόχαν Μίκαελ Χαϊνέκιους έγινε πάστορας στον ναό της «Παναγίας της Αγοράς» (Marktkirche Unser Lieben Frauen, σήμερα γνωστή απλώς ως η Marktkirche) στο Χάλε, όπου είχε καθήκον να εποπτεύει τη μουσική και χορωδία του ναού, και να γράφει στίχους για εκκλησιαστικές καντάτες. Ωστόσο επεκτάθηκε συστηματικά σε άλλες ασχολίες, για τις οποίες είναι πιο γνωστός: Μελέτησε ιδιαιτέρως την ελληνική ορθοδοξία της εποχής του και το 1711 κυκλοφόρησε σχετικό βιβλίο του υπό τον τίτλο Πραγματική και αληθής περιγραφή της Παλαιάς και Νέας Ελληνικής Εκκλησίας, κατά την ιστορίαν της, την διδασκαλίαν της πίστεώς της και τα εκκλησιαστικά έθη. Επιπλέον υπήρξε ο πρώτος άνθρωπος που προέβη σε συστηματική μελέτη των παλαιών σφραγίδων, τα αποτελέσματα της οποίας εξέθεσε στο έργο του De veteribus Germanorum aliarumque nationum sigillis, δηλαδή «Περί παλαιών σφραγίδων των Γερμανών και ετέρων εθνών» (Λειψία 1710 και με επιμέλεια το 1719). - Johann Michael Heineccius (14 December 1674 – 11 September 1722) was a well-known German preacher and theologian, the brother of Johann Gottlieb Heineccius. He was born in Eisenberg, Thuringia. He was made pastor at the Liebfrauenkirche (now known as the Marktkirche) in Halle, where his role was to supervise the music at the local church and write cantata texts. But he is remembered more from the fact that he was the first to make a systematic study of seals, concerning which he left a book, De veteribus Germanorum aliarumque nationum sigillis (Leipzig, 1710; and ed., 1719).
